The Commercial Gambling Management Commission of Cambodia (“CGMC”) issued Prakas 005 on 16 November 2022 on the Formalities and Procedures for Administrative Sanctions and Monetary Fines for Violations of the Law on Management of Commercial Gambling with the purpose to ensure compliance with the relevant laws and regulations. This Prakas empowers the CGMCC to impose both administrative sanctions and monetary fines based on different types of violations of the Law on Management of Commercial Gambling.
The administrative sanctions include written warnings, suspension of the gambling license or revocation of the gambling license.
